A modern sprawling home pinned to a desirable neighborhood is striking given its small stature. As cars navigate the winding streets, one can’t help but to slow down and admire its pieces. The residence is thirty-six hundred and fifty square feet under air and contains many special rooms. Divided into two wings and attached with a great room clerestory volume, one side is functional, the opposite, retreat. The functional side consists of guest bedroom suites, home office, garage and laundry. The great room living, dining, and kitchen open onto a covered pool deck and lap pool. The retreat wing contains the master bedroom suite with extravagant bathroom, and custom music room purely to listen and relax.

Originally a home for sale, the new owners involvement stressed the importance of material selections which became the centerpiece of the design and the outcome beautiful. The combination of marble tile floors, a mix of gloss white and glass faced cabinetry, chrome fixtures, and wood accents create a high-end result. The exterior material palette is quite simple with four primary surfaces. Pearly white stucco contrasts with the black accented aluminum windows and trim pieces. Clear and frosted glass plays with the buff colored stacked stone accent wall. Structured landscaping creates rhythm and symmetry to the asymmetrical plan while plantings are carried inside as each room has live plants to stimulate the space. A royal poinciana tree which was saved on the site is featured as the canopy raises above the home. The small stature of the home gradually builds as it distances itself from the street. A fourteen foot tall great room volume pops up centered on the home with clerestory ribbon windows allowing tree and sky views into the home.
