Perched on a bluff along Manasota Key, this beachfront residence stands as a testament to resilience and thoughtful coastal design. Having endured three hurricanes, the 5,350-square-foot home has emerged from the sands as a quiet beacon of resilience in an area still in the process of rebuilding. Designed as a multigenerational retreat with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the home was always intended to capture the essence of beachfront living through uninterrupted Gulf views and a stage to every sunset. Arrival unfolds through a terraced landscape approach leading to a pivoting wood-clad entry door. Inside, a fifty-foot panorama of the Gulf spans the double-island kitchen, dining and living areas, and a dramatic two-story volume that extends to outdoor living spaces beyond. A glass-enclosed office and walk-in wine room flank an exposed stair, which rises to a second-story bridge connecting the bedrooms.
The roof deck is organized into three distinct levels: a primary gathering space with outdoor kitchen and firepit, a lower observation deck for quieter moments, and an upper lounge added to support entertaining at any hour. Ground-level materiality anchors the home to its site, with coral stone quarried from Turkey installed on a rainscreen system to soften the structure and transition naturally from dune to dwelling. Tucked under the elevated home is another prize, a shaded spa grotto with a lap sized lounge pool complete with sun shelf and artistically crafted sculptural stainless steel waterslide imported from the UK. The finishing touch to an exquisite site resulting in a home shaped by place, engineered for endurance, and defined by a deep connection to light, water, and horizon.
